I want to thank NMVS Research Academy for initiating this mentor-mentee program. Research knowledge is minimal among health professionals in developing countries like Nepal. I hope that through this program, many health professionals will have an opportunity to enhance their research skills and make a significant difference in Nepal's health system. I believe, through this program, you will be able to conduct research that contributes to and brings positive changes in the well-being of Nepalese people. I would be happy to support interested mentees and I wish all the best to all the mentees of this program.

In today's era where every day new innovations and modalities of care are discovered, research has been a critical component of medical and allied sciences. Evidence-based practice is of utmost importance to provide the best possible care to the patients and research is inevitable to generate evidence and translate them into clinical practice and education. NMVS can be a benchmark for early career researchers, students, clinical practitioners, educators, mentors, and mentees to learn and work collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently. I wholeheartedly welcome all the mentees and extend my best wishes to grasp as much knowledge as you could through this platform. I further expect you to contribute a small part you have learned in your field of study, patient care, and clinical practice. Best regards.
Research is a means of human development. Research is passion, dedication, and a lifetime commitment. As medical students, we should have a clear mindset about what we are going to be in the future. We can be involved in teaching-learning activities, clinical practice, or research activities. You have to find your field of interest. My message to you is to try to explore yourself, have your inner interest. Identify research questions, frame them. Mentor-mentee relation is very important. Mentors will facilitate mentees in research activities, Life approach, career development, and even in personal problems. In the long term, it is challenging to maintain and sustain relationships academically as well as professionally. Research mentorship is very important for your career. Choose good mento. As a mentee, you should be a good one, capable one. Mentor and mentee should be smarter than you. Be positive, do not underestimate your ideas. Create bonding, friendship. Listen to others. Try to know, analyze too
